The McCallister residence, featured in the 1990 Christmas classic Home Alone, remains one of the most recognizable movie homes in the world.
Listed in May 2024 for $5.25 million, the house sold above asking price in January 2025, closing at $5.5 million.
Macaulay Culkin joked he considered buying the home “just for giggles” to turn it into a “movie fun house” for fans.
Despite his playful idea, Culkin decided against buying due to his focus on family and personal priorities.
